1)     What have you been engaged with (been doing) for the past few days?

I spent too much time on the assignments because week6 is the busiest week, every course has a midterm check, so there are too many exercises to do and many knowledge to go over.

2)     How have you personally changed as a result of your experience at the university this week?  What are you doing that is different, that shows that you have changed?

I try to finish my plan in time and try not to put it off, and I feel more focused when I am studying. This can increase efficiency and save time so that I can take a break. I changed my time management, I tried to finish all the work before I taking rest, not play while studying.

3)     Would you have had the same experiences in GIC? If you say yes, tell us why? If you say no, tell us why? (non-GIC can skip this question) Do not answer this question in Semester 2)

No, because when I  was in GIC, there was no such large work, I always can finish it very quickly, so it was not very important to manage time.

4)     What new things did you learn this week?

I finally figured out how to code to transfer files in the python socket of the NOSE course, I had tried too many times but it didn't work and I do not know why, but this week I had asked a classmate who looked very good at this coding, fortunately, I almost know how to do that, and finished the assignment.

5)     Which subject was most difficult to study this week, and did you ask the tutors and lab demonstrator to help you?

I have to say java is becoming difficult because this course is always going very quickly; the lecturer speaks so quickly and does the code less, so it's hard to really understand, I can not believe that what we learned until now is the course have to spend 1.5 years to learn in China.

6)     What are your plans for this week? (e.g. I meet my friends to practice English, complete my coursework before the deadline, I will meet my friends to study, etc.) Why do you have these plans?

I think I'd better take a rest, no more absorb new things, but review what I have learned and check if I still remember them, and if I meet some problem, maybe I could ask my classmate, but I'm not sure they are free to answer me because it's getting busier and busier every week.

7)     Post an image that describes how you feel this week or your thoughts.

This weekend, I wandered in a guitar shop; too many guitars made me dazzled,  I found some designs interesting, like this one, it looked like a violin.

8)     What did you do for fun this week or what did you find funny?

My friend invited me to eat out; I miss my hometown cuisine so much. And also, we feel so good that we finally finished week 6, although the final of this term could be more challenging.

Ruyan,

Sorry to hear you miss your hometown cuisine.

I can understand your issues with the speed of language. Are there any recordings you could playback more slowly to understand what was said?

These guitars have indeed some intriguing designs.
