1)     I keep practicing playing bass, learning how to bake

2)     I gradually know it is not such difficult to talk with foreign people in English though I'm not good at communication.  I try to discuss the question in tutorial groups and provide my suggestion without feeling nervous.

3)     Just a little because my classmates have a strong accent and I can not understand them the most of time. And also I just have about 20 people to talk with and half of them are Chinese.

4)     I think I learn nothing extra, just the knowledge in the class, such as ER diagrams, Logical symbols.

5)     I feel difficult with CS1F, because there are too many logical symbols, and entities and attributes need to be distinct in a scenario. And I ask the tutor, she gave me other examples and draw the graph for me so that I can understand.

6)     I will discuss the content of the game with my teammates Monday after class.

7)     These photos were taken when I go out with friends this weekend, I feel so good when I meet them though I feel a little sleepy, now I know the previous weekends could be a lot less boring, I can do many things to have fun and also know about other people's thoughts, talk with friends and forget the annoying things.

8)    I meet friends on the weekend, we hung out in the afternoon, and have a great dinner in an Indian restaurant. And then we went to the cinema to watch a Japanese animate, finally, we went to the pub and have a drink, this Gin juice looked so fancy.

I am glad you have started feeling less nervous when talking to people and you are also asking questions.

Studying at university requires a lot of self-learning (independent learning). You are learning many new concepts at a very fast pace. You should seek help from tutors/demonstrators. Tutors and demonstrators are here to help and asking their advice could help you manage your time even better as it may reduce the time you spend on particularly challenging lab exercises. Faster Route level 2 is very fast-paced and packed with new concepts you need to learn very fast as compared to GIC or Level 1.

I am glad you are having a good time with friends. Also, try to spend study time with your peers. Indeed, this can make your understanding of the concepts a lot easier as you seek help from each other.

Ask the mentor for any tips on how to study better. Remember that your mentor was also a Faster Route student.

I know Glaswegian and other accents can be very challenging but the more you spend time with other people, the easier it will become. Regarding improving your English, try to make friends from other countries, try to watch movies in English and read in English. Whenever you have free time, watch a movie or series, whatever you like but in English. So I am glad you went to the movie to watch an anime, which I believe, must have been in English.
